Yes, here, finally, is a picture of me. No one could accuse me of being too egotistical considering that I'd had my web pages up for about a year before putting a picture of myself on them.

Actually, it's here to show some of the things I've made. I sewed my skirt, pink satin camisole top and pink lace peasant blouse myself. And, the daybed cover, pillows and lampshade, too. I have since made a new and better lampshade in patterned fabric with bronze braid. The daybed cover is reversable and has a different, jungle-patterned fabric on the offside. It is also open at both ends and contains a polyester fiberfill comforter (to give it some bulk).

• Copy of 1910 bathingsuit This was created for use in a travelling museum exhibit on the history of bathing costumes. One of the locations in which the exhibit was placed was the Ulricehamn municipal pool. Due to the humidity of the area, it was impossible to exhibit an original artifact so the museum commissioned me to make a copy.

• Star Trek: The Next Generation suit (Command rank) The man in the picture was deliberately decapitated because he is shy and didn't want his picture on the web. :-)

• My sewing and design area It is a bit difficult to see in this picture, but this is a type of design board. I got the idea from the Costumer's Manifesto, among other places. I read that several designers liked to put white felt on one wall of their design studios in order to be able to attach pins, drawings, pattern pieces and cloth, etc. Since I live in an apartment, this isn't practical for me. I also have a fairly small work area (it was meant to be used for a kitchen table and chairs).

  I commissioned a local carpenter to make a wooden frame which I then covered with white fabric. The frame is approximately 2 meters high by 1 meter wide. Attaching things to the horizontal frame eliminates clutter as well as making things more easily visible.

• Child's medieval dress Since the dress was made for a 2 year old, my main concern was that it be machine washable.
